RE: GT4 Starting a 185 after quite some time of inactivity...

Hi, Marc.

I just resurrected the ST205 I've owned for 8 years but has been in a garage
at a friend's house near Inverurie for the last 2 years.

I thought about the EFI fuse thing but when it came to it I just stuck some
jump leads on and went for it. One new battery later it went through the
MOT and I've been using it ever since with no issues.

Well, that's not strictly true. The belt squeaks a bit when the air con is
working hard.

I really thought the air con would have packed in but it works great too!

Cheers,

Calum

Well, this is my first post on here for about four years, and hopefully
soon I will be back in the fray full time now I have more time to be
involved in this sort of thing. I don't know how many of my old mates
are left now, but hello to all of you anyway.

Since I live on the north coast of Scotland now, am 35 miles from the
nearest fuel pump, and with fuel prices and all, I haven't been using
my GT-Four for a good while. I intend to start her up for the first
time in ages today and would like some advice about starting her after
a long stand. Any advice would be very well received. She is my pride
and joy and I can't wait to start driving her again.
