Need help with replacing a heater core   Message List

Hi Pony lovers,
I have an 87 Mustang GT 5.0 L and I am having a difficult time removing the
heater assembly.
I have a Chiltons and a Hayes manual for my year and the instructions given
by both manuals don't resemble my assembly. One manual stated that I only
had to remove the glove box, 5 or so screws from the cores' cover and pull
thru the glove box space. No way this is going to work. The core is
somewhere to the left of the glove box, kinda in line with the hatchback and
fuel buttons.I haven't actually seen the core as of yet.
I have the dash and the instrument panel just bout off. I still can't see
how the heck the core/heater assembly comes off.
It's been almost 48 hrs.of trying to do this job and I am greatly
discourage not to mention tired...

Please anyone out there that can offer some help I'd appreciate it much.
Thank you.
Kimberly
