Hello,

I own a 2001 Explorer Sport 4.0 SOHC and lately I noticed at start
ups I will hear a tapping noise very similar to valves tapping when
automatic gear shifts into OD. This especially happens if I kick
down a gear to pass. If anyone knows what the cause may be, I would
really appreciate it. It only has 25,000 miles on it, so that is why
it makes me nervous. Even though it is under warranty, i would still
like to get a good opinion, or see if others have experienced this.
