I have a 97 Explorer Sport and love the heck out of it, too.............except
when the clutch needed replacing and a lot of other things. It started when it
failed safety inspection. It was all due to normal wear & tear kind of things.

It's back on the road and doing ok...........needs a new engine...........but
still doing ok.
