I hope everyone had a great week this week. We have some opportunities coming up this weekend and throughout the rest of this month. Please mark your calendars for Angel Tree Dec. 12th 8:30am Redbud Baptist 8th & Slide in the Sanctuary. We need as many bikes as we can get to deliver gifts & hope to over 250 children. We will divide up into 6-10 groups depending on the final count so we need alot of bikes. I would like to have at least 8 to 10 bikes in a group with a chase car. We will have a great time. So get ready. We will ride out this Friday as the weather is going to be nice again, so I hope to see you a Kohl's.
Saturday Nov. 14th Second Saturday Ride We will meet at Kohl's parking lot at 10:30am Saturday morning. We are going to ride with the CMA down to Post Texas for a fund raiser for a little boy who is sick. We will be eating lunch in Post. They will be serving barbeque. All the money from the proceeds will go to help with medical expenses. After lunch we will ride with the CMA as they have planned to go up through Fluvanna hills. Sunday Nov. 15th Angel Tree Presentation Redbud Baptist 8th & Slide. We will meet at the Starbucks on 4th & Slide 9:45am and we will be kickstands up at 10:20am ride down the street and give the presentation. Redbud Baptist is Fellowship Riders Home Church. This is the first year for them to participate in Angel Tree. I would like to have a large turnout for this presentation. Please try to make this one. Bikes & Leather please. If you are a member of Monterey Church of Christ please go to your church on this Sunday. Scott will be doing a presentation there also. Everyone else please come to Redbud. thanks
Saturday Nov. 21st Men’s Breakfast Redbud Baptist. We will meet at Logan’s Steakhouse in the parking lot on Slide & Loop 289 at 7:00am Kickstands up or car doors shut at 7:15. Come on out the breakfast is good.
Sunday Nov. 22nd Carpenters Kitchen. FRL helps Broadway Church of Christ feed the homeless. Please come and be blessed as this in a really neat ministry. We need at least 15 people. So come on. Be at the kitchen (corner of Ave. S & Main St.) by 9:15 a.m. Enter through the back door at the northwest corner of the building (faces Ave. S). We will set up tables, prepare food, serve food, wash dishes, clean tables, take out trash, put up tables & chairs, sweep floor and mop up any spills. We will end around 1:30 pm. To help supplement the food they receive from the Food Bank, we are asking each person who comes to serve to please bring a GALLON can of one of the following food items: green beans, pinto beans, corn, peaches, fruit cocktail.
Tuesday Nov. 24th FRL Coffee Night 6:30pm. Well its too cold for Sonic Night so we have made it coffee night until spring comes back around. Be looking for a email with location in the future. If you like this idea please email me back with a yea or nay. My email address is mark@... thanks.
Thank you Jody Langley for getting us some freezer space for our Angel Tree food boxes. I want to say thank you to everybody who offered their chest freezers and such also. Jody called almost as soon as the email went out and found someone with a large walk in to handle us. Praise God!!!
