The Humvee uses a 242 or is it a 241 ???? The 231 HD from a Grand Cherokee V8 would do the trick.??? There is a 242HD also.? I like the ability to use 4x4 all

I don't know if you can get a flywheel or flex plate for the 400/727 but in any case the allure of the 4.0 combo is gas mileage which is in part to a 4 speed

I agree with your choice except maybe use a 231 with the Dodge internals. That is what i did with my 321 to make sure the 37" MTR's would not destroy it. And

OK, what about mating the 4.0L HO to either a TH400 or 727 and stock t-case? I am rather ignorant (fact shy) regarding the other Jeep engines but am leaning
