LTAA AWARD WINNERS HONORED DURING SEMA SPRING EXPO   Message List

INDIANAPOLIS (March 6, 2004) -- LTAA, the Light Truck Accessory
Alliance, presented its industry awards at the LTAA Awards Banquet
held during the SEMA Spring Expo yesterday. The banquet was held at
the Westin Hotel adjoining the Indiana Convention Center where the
Expo is being held.

LTAA, a council of SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association,
hosts the annual event to acknowledge those men and women who lead
the Council's efforts, and to recognize outstanding product design
achievements.

Hartmut Schroeder and Bob Edwards of SNUGTOP, Long Beach, Calif.,
received the Ron Webster Memorial Award, created to recognize an
individual's outstanding engineering achievements. It was the second
consecutive year that Schroeder, whose industry career spans 15
years, has been singled out for the award.

Anne Johnson, LTAA Chairman, presented the LTAA Chairman's Award to
Jeannie Clough of SNUGTOP for her unstinting devotion to LTAA
programs, including the program designed to gain media publicity for
truck-cap dealers which began during SEMA Show 2003. "Jeannie was
certainly thinking 'outside the box' for LTAA when she devised this
program," Johnson said when presenting the award. "It is
innovative, and it's working."

Two SEMA Spring Expo exhibitors received New Product Awards. The
winner of the Best New Product Over $500 award was A.R.E. Inc.,
Massillon, Ohio, for its fiberglass cap for commercial applications.
The Best New Product Under $500 honors went to T-Max Winches (Stutz
Industries), Elkhart, Ind., for its wireless remote.

SNUGTOP collected its third award of the evening when it received
the Best In Show Award for its exhibit that presented the best
overall display at the SEMA Spring Expo.

The LTAA evening gala concluded with post-dinner music by the
industry's favorite band, Led Foot. Led Foot is comprised of men
with "day jobs" in the automotive aftermarket.

The Light Truck Accessory Alliance, formerly the Truck Cap Accessory
Alliance, develops strategies and programs that address the specific
needs of the truck cap and accessory industry. The council includes
companies that manufacture, distribute, retail and install
accessories for pickup trucks, vans and SUVs. The LTAA addresses
such issues as education, installer certification, marketing, and
consumer awareness.
More information about LTAA is available from Vic Wood, LTAA
Executive Director, at vicw@... or 909/396-0289, ext. 150.
