This group will be dedicated to the owners who enjoy and preserve these rare E12 M-cars. The group will also be open to those who are researching the purchase of an E12 M535i.

Much of the components that make the E12 M535i unique also make the conversation and subjects about the car special, which could make it worthwhile to create a specialized group dedicated to this car, away from firstfives.org's mailing list.

There is an M535i.org mailing list, but I decided after a few months of participating on that list, that there was a need to have a dedicated E12 M535i list. Much of the topics on the M535i.org mailing list have to do with E28's: 535is's, E28 M5's, and E28 M535i's. The number of topics (and knowledge) about the E12 M535i on M535i.org is severely limited which is really what this group is all about. There are so few of us who own these great cars in the US that we have to band together and help each other out.

This group will also be open to overseas E12 M535i owners because the insight they have into repairs, parts, and other knowledge will be invaluable (particularly since those of us in the US with one of these cars DO own a European-market car!). We will also use the yahoogroups website for this mailing list as a registry for the E12 M535i's that are still on the road.

Finally, let's have some good discussion, pool our knowledge, and try to help each other out!
