RM Auctions offered J206, during the Florida Collector Car Auction in Ft. Lauderdale, Feb 9-11, 2007. When this car was last offered by RM bidding rose to $340,000, but the car did not sell. This time it did sell, for $378,000.
A 1929 Dual Cowl Phaeton (Chassis 2149) will be offered at Amelia Island March 10. It is a brown over tan, Swept Panel, normally aspirated J, but with the external exhausts seen on an SJ.
"The Last Duesenberg" was sold for $2,805,000 at the RM Auctions'
"Vintage Cars in Arizona." This makes the fourth owner for this car,
J397 Chassis 2405. It is said to be unrestored and 10,000 miles from
new. See Lot 249 in the RM catalog.
One of the few Vintage cars offered by Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale
was J232, a 1930 LWB J Derham Arlington Sedan ( Lot 1311 ). The car
was said to be original as delivered and sold for $660,000.

RM Auctions is offering J206, a "Tourster in the style of Derham,"
during the Florida Collector Car Auction in Ft. Lauderdale, Feb 9-11,
2007. The car sports the external exhausts of an SJ, but is normally
aspirated. Interestingly, RM does not even list it as a "Featured
Lot," so you will have to search the list for it. When this car was
last offered by RM (Meadow Brook Hall, MI, August 2006, Lot 250),
bidding rose to $340,000, but the car did not sell.
They are also offering J397 chassis #2405 in Jan. 2007 at the Biltmore
Spa in AZ.
Otis Chandler was the editor of the LA Times and he appreciated a good
car. His collection will be auctioned off Oct 21 in Oxnard, CA by
Gooding & Co. There is at least one Duesenberg to be offered,
J168/Chassis 2189, a 1931 Duesenberg J Special Phaeton, bodied by
LeBaron. Check the Gooding Catalog for Lot 59.

J262 ( chassis number 2284), a Murphy bodied 1929 convertible sedan
will be offered by RM AUCTIONS at Meadow Brook Hall, MI on August 5.
The car is class 1 ACD certified, and is expected to bring
$750,000-$900,000. Save your pennies!
There will be an auction May 6, 2006 of parts of the estate of Denny
Duesenberg, son of Fred Duesenberg. Many of the items publicized are
sports and entertainment memorabilia, but some pieces of Duesenberg
automobilia will also be offered, including a firewall emblem from
a J, apparently unused.

The Worldwide Group is holding a Concours d'Elegance and Auction May 6
& 7 2006 in Houston, TX. Two Duesenbergs are scheduled for the
Auction block. One , Ch2362, is a Murphy bodied J Convertible Sedan.
It was originally powered by J337, but now carries J420.
The other is a 1929 LWB Sedanco De Ville bodied by Barker. J159 is a
British-built right hand drive. It carries ACD Certification #95, and
the chassis and and engine J number match those assigned at the factory.
On March 11, RM Auctions held an auction on Amelia Island, FL. Two
Duesenberg J's were on the block. Lot 140 (J187/Ch. 2209) was a 1929
Murphy-bodied "Clear Vision Sedan." The other, Lot 163, was a 1932 LWB
Dual Cowl Phaeton (J315).
