Jeff I think I got it. I put shim on top between hinge and hood, but ran out of shim material, so will do the bottom and other side tomorrow and hope it works....

Hey Jeff, guess what. I put a 1/2" shim in between the hood and the hinge on the bottom mount hole of hood and hinge ...........and the hood now sets up 1/2"...
