Hi Wyatt, I'm glad you're enjoying the group. I don't think
tomorrow would work for me, but you're still welcome to get together
with anyone else here who can make it. I'm trying to arrange a meet
up in about two weeks, which hopefully most of us can come to, but
until then feel free to meet with others as DMC Maryland.

Hi Tiffany.
You had a De Lorean when you were 15? Sweet! I'm 16 and havn't
gotten one yet. Oh well, hopefully sometime soon. For now I'm just
a slightly obsessed enthusiast of the De Lorean.
I took a look at www.thinkstainless.com. Awesome site. I enjoy
graphics design too, although I am somewhat of an amateur at it.
Hope you enjoy the group.

It is located in Churchville, MD, on Churchville Road. It's on route
22, west of the intersection of 22 and 136. That is just it's basic
loation, but I can give more precise instructions if we decide to go
there. Oh yeah, it's actually called Campus Hills Shopping Center,
but there used to be an Ames there so that's what I'm used to calling
it. The main store there now is a Food Lion.

Anyone interested in getting together for a short while this weekend?
Saturday or Sunday morning or mid day. I am about 20 miles South of
Annapolis. I would be willing to come to your area if you are within
an hours drive.

Hi! My name is Tiffany and I live in New Windsor, Maryland (about a half hour
west of
Baltimore). I've had my Delorean for 3 years and used to be the youngest
Delorean owner! I'm
18 years old. It's great to hear of so many Delorean owners in the Maryland
area, I really like
the idea of getting together for a tech session and helping new members with
their cars. I'll
be going to Pittsburgh for college this October but would still like to come
back for any
events. Thanks for creating the DMCMaryland forum! I love the logo on the group

Greetings from Odenton Maryland,
David & Mike Pack here to help out any owner with DeLorean stuff. Hope
to meet all of you and have some DMC fun.
Sincerely,
David & Mike Pack
The DeLorean community is generally family-friendly. We're not
exactly the "Fast and the Furious" angry-ricer-crowd. We don't race
for pinks or slap our girlfriends around.
Assuming we begin to meet on a semi-regular basis and your parents
meet us they'll probably loosen up their grip on you a little bit.
That's assuming you ever buy a DeLorean.
What town is this Ames in?

I just thought of a place we might be able to meet, and I should be
able to come too. There is an informal car show near where I
live held every friday in an old Ames parking lot. Guys with classic
cars just drive in and out from anywhere between about 5:00 and 8:00
pm. If anyone is interested in this, let me know and I will give
directions to get there. Maybe we could meet there on friday two
weeks from tomorrow. Let me know what you think.

As I mentioned in my last post, I am 16 and still on my learners
permit. That unfortunately means that I can only drive somewhere if
one of my parents goes with me. Plus they are extremely protective
and don't like me being out by myself much. Parents, [sigh and roll

but until then, the rest of the group is of course welcome to meet
without me. Just tell me how it goes. I should be able to go to the

it gets closer we can figure out exactly when and where. Until then,
go ahead and meet up anyway. Maybe I can come, maybe not.

Hi Joey,
I am in Harford County, Maryland, and, well, um, I actually don't
have a De Lorean yet, although getting one is high on my list of near
future priorities. For now I am just a DMC enthusiast, very nearing
to obsession. Of course I'm only 16 and I'm still on my drivers
permit, so I've still got plenty of time to get a De Lorean.
Unfortunately, right now all my money has to go into college comming
up in a year, but after that I can concentrate on a DMC-12. Sorry if
I was misleading into making people think I had one. Now of course
if someone has a De Lorean they would like to donate... :)

Lol..don't get too excited. Some of them are vendors who are nowhere
near Maryland. The vendors typically monitor all the newsgroups to
listen for new ideas for new products and who's spewing
misinformation, etc. ;)
That said, any ideas on a first meet-up before the warm weather goes

Hello all,
Unfortunately, I bought a no garage home five years ago, so I have to
store my vehicle in public storage. A bit expensive, but worth it
until I can upgrade (hopefully soon). Until then, I cannot offer a
place to work, but willing to help at yours. My knowledge of the PRV
is slim to none, but learning. Looking forward to the group.

I agree. No one should feel pressured to have to do anything here.
It should just be casual conversation about De Loreans, and help with
mechanichal problems. Maybe evry now and then an informal meeting
just to say hi, and view each others D's. The only one who will
really have any responsibilities here is me. (to approve all the
messages)
Thanks for your input!

Mainly I joined because I was thinking that this would be a good way
to get a MDDOC going.
Just FYI, this was done once before with Mike Pack as president but
rumor has it he gave up when people stopped participating in events
and it all kind of drifted apart. That said, we have a lot of new
blood now so it may work out.
For my part, I don't want it to mutate into some small, snobby version
of the DOA. I don't want to fuss with dues, newsletters, formal
meetings with secrertaries jotting down minutes and all that jazz.
Just a loose, affiliation of owners who help out with mechanical
issues and link up for travel and shows.
What say you?
