Description

This group deals with do-it-yourself automotive DC Capacitive Discharge Ignitions.
For example this one www.molla.org/DIY-CDI, but no magneto CDIs (many bikes). Standard language is English but you can also post in your mother tongue - but don't expect that all are members able to understand you. :) Please add  ISO 639-1 Language Code at the beginning of your subject if it's not English: eo...Esperanto, fr...French, de...German, es...Spanish etc.

In dieser Group werden do-it-yourself DC CDIs (Gleichspannungs-HochspannungsKondensator-, bzw Thyristor-Zuenndungen) fuer Autos diskutiert, wie z.B. diese DIY-CDI, aber keine Magneto-CDIs (viele Motorraeder). Die Standardsprache ist Englisch, du kannst aber auch auf Deutsch posten, erwarte aber nicht, dass dich alle Mitglieder verstehen. :) Bitte setze dann zu Beginn des Betreffs ein 'de'.

Ce groupe s'occupe d'un "do-it-yourself DC CDI", un allumage a décharge capacitive multi-étincelles. Par exemple celui-ci: DIY-CDI Il ne sera pas question d'allumage TCI (l'allumage ancien que l'on trouve encore sur la majorité des automobiles.) La langue commune est l'Anglais mais vous pouvez poster en Français, sachant que tout le monde ne pourra pas vous comprendre. Dans ce cas ajoutez un 'fr' au début de votre post.

I forgot, the size of the neosid core is OD: 14.8mm ID: 8mm Height: 6.35mm. Just try to find something that fits on the pcb.

Hi, as i understand it from the article, inductor L1 is only there to filter the switching noise, that means that the circuit would work even withouut it. for
