This is the discussion group of the Washington DC Area Vintage BMW Riders which is a local group of enthusiasts dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and riding of vintage BMW motorcycles. The group was founded to enable these like-minded individuals to arrange rides, meet socially, and share their collective knowledge, resources, and technical expertise. DC BMW stands as the first local club chartered by the newly formed BMW Veteran Motorcycle Club of America (VMCA #1) and the only BMWMOA-chartered vintage BMW club (#302). Nonetheless, the spirit of the club is lighthearted (and sometimes self-effacing) fun with an emphasis on camaraderie amongst its members.
