Funny how things happen. The first 149 CCs rolled out of Marion on July 3, 1946,
a great day on the first full year of peace and with the first peacetime July
4th in seven years. What a great day that holiday must have been for the USA,
and for everyone at Crosley, filled with hope and optimism.

And then came failure exactly six years later, with the end of Crosley
production.

We know that a lot of Crosleys are out in the parades today, and that says
something, too. Three cheers to all the survivors, still cruising into the 21st
Century.
