The Comet-List is an email based discussion group for owners and fans of the Mercury Comet to meet and discuss all aspects of their cars. Topics for discussion may include, but are not limited to: Racing, Restoration, Parts, Classifieds, Events, etc. NOTE: PLEASE POST ONLY COMET RELATED MESSAGE CONTENT ON THE LIST. OTHER TOPICS (SUCH AS POLITICAL SUBJECTS, HOLIDAY GREETINGS, FRUSTRATION OVER THE REMOVAL OF PLUTO FROM OUR SOLAR SYSTEM, ETC.) WILL BE DELETED. THANKS FOR KEEPING THIS SUCH A GREAT AND FOCUSED/HELPFUL LIST

Yes, it's a brown or Bakelite looking material. Same one on the 7 litre Galaxie and most of the 64/65 falcon Sprints although I have seen a couple Sprints
