RE: [ChinookRVOwners] Central Locking System and alarm

I can’t help on the 2001 Destiny, but on the Glacier - Look in the files section of this site for Marksman manual – here is the link to it:

http://f1.grp.yahoofs.com/v1/8AVWSuELI8PlEcCfu82KI3wqP_L2Y4f4tXnd8vcZJCMmTO567mIeaEu96M-ATOWfgXhAZe04YPO_3wbawf0PFA/M2_UMIM.pdf

If the link does not work, go to the files section and go down to M2_UMIM.pdf  Marksman M2 Automatic Lock System from a Glacier.

Hello Julia,

We have recently purchased an '05 Chinook Summit equipped with a Marksman Keyless Remote FDD ID H50T12.  Our doors don't work with it and the problem sounds similar to yours.  This remote has four buttons.  One to lock, one to unlock, one to set the alarm and one to open the coach door.

We live in Nokomis, FL and took it to RV World here (the dealer who sold it to us hasn't a clue).  They got the lock button to work.  Unfortunately it also unlocks the doors and the other buttons do not work at all.

We are working through the sites found on the internet to try to find a users/owners manual to reprogram this remote.  If we ever find the instructions, we will let you know the website if you wish to pursue the answer that way.

We have had our 2001 Destiny for a couple of months and have almost worked out all of the neglected maintenance issues.

Does anyone have any guidence re. the central locking system. The rear door did not lock at all remotely so we ordered a replacement actuator from Atwood Door company that works but does not mount exactly like the old one. The driver's and passenger doors work sometimes. This is maddening!!! I would like for them all to lock and unlock from the remote and from the door switch.

Also our remote has 2 buttons but only the 1st one does anything. What does the 2nd button do? I would like for it to be an alarm button. Which brings me to the question - my coach is supposed to have an alarm but how do I make it work?

I have learned so much from this site - thank you all so much!!!

Sincerely,
Julia
