Motorcycle carbs like the ones on scooters are CV type carbs. The do not have a "choke" they have what is called an "enrichener". This is a small needle valve...

Forgot to add, this is almost like "fly by wire" the throttle isn't directly connected to the carb's fuel circuit like on older carbs, rolling on the throttle...

If you remove the enrichener and plug it, you won't be supplying the extra fuel, so it won't run rich, it will just be hard to start on cold mornings......LOL ...
