I emailed new-era.com several weeks ago and received info and
a price list (which is at home). Seems to me this kart was $1400-1600 USD
wholesale, with shipping around $400. Minimum to buy was 5 karts.

Okay... kept finding new SUNLs on ebay. That 18.8 torque
mentioned above is supposed to be 8.8 like in the other auctions.
Not only that, they only have 10hp!! That is a weak machine!
Cheap, but not worth it in my mind

Yeah, done that too. My mom had a boyfriend that owned a few
Citabria's We did quite a bit of aerobatics over the Newport Bridge
and Narragansett Bay here in Rhode Island. At times we were upside
down more than right side up.
I love aerobatics in R/C as well. Working on a crazy 3-d capable
plane called the Freestyle by Global Hobbies. Has a high power Saito
4 cycle engine mounted in it as of a few days ago. Finishing up the
servo work now.
The Helicopters are actually harder to control. In aircraft you
only have to worry about left and right reversing... just like a car
does, actually. But in helicopters several things can reverse on
the controls depending orientation. It's nuts.

Just found some cool up close digital engine/exhaust shots of a Blade
in my E-Mail.
I'm posting in a folder named "Blade Detail Shots"
For those that were wondering, the engine code looks different.
Exhaust angle looks similar at this point, but hard to tell from the
way the shot was taken... looks like it was from underneath instead
of from the side.
The nice walbro carburetor can also been seen.

There have been quite a few since then. I really have to get the

Back to the subject at hand. These carts are a whole lot of fun.

There are dealers out there. Bedo here can help you from what I
have heard

Also, some of the data looks incorrect on the listing. The
suggested retail there is rediculously high.
Could that Torque be right??

Selling buggys that look like the Awesome Buggys 2 Seater.. under
the Sunl brand name. I've seen these on the Sunl site before.

I still don't like those looks of this cart though.
It just has an odd look to it.
Kell pointed out that the bracing in the floor looks weaker than
Twister/Blade/KPX
Seen some interest on Peirspeed carts on other groups.
I think they are probably good carts. The independent rear
suspension is interesting but it looks like it would be harder to do
cool powerslides with, etc?
I like the idea of the solid rear axel like th Blades, Twisters, etc
just because of the cart like feel that it gives. But to each
their own I guess.
Also, it seems like a single axel/chain system would mean less
maintenance later on down the road as things wear out on ya.
If we can get Kell in here, maybe he can answer that a little more
for us as he saw them in action himself.
I've been on a Blade kick lately because I happen to really like
they way they look, and they seem to offer tons of options for the
money. The removable fabric roof and padding on the roll cage is a
real plus. The speedometer is very cool too!! It's like getting a
Dazon Raider Max at a fraction of the price and with all the options
that aren't included in Dazon's high prices!
Oh yeah, and the Blade is going to be knocking on my door in a few
weeks too. :)
I'll be able to add a lot more info on the Blade at that point.

We need Joseph V to post his darn Pics!!!! hehe.
I plan to put it on the KPX Xterro first, since I should have the
CDI soon and the Blade is still weeks out since it's sitting on a
boat. :) We'll see what happens there and that will decide If I
throw it in the garbage or put it on everything I have, including
the Blade. :)
Yeah, more pipe options would be awesome. It's very limited right
now. The more people that get involved, and the more of these buggys
that get out there, the better for everyone for sure.
Since I have the Toy Junkies parts I'll be able to try them out on
the Blade eventually too.
I emailed Stuart about the group... he is welcome to post here, of
course, if he wants.
It doesn't appear that Yahoo let's you search out this group yet
very well... which is a bummer. I have to work on that.
I created a new Google group as well... hopefully to point people
this way eventually since that one should be more searchable.
I'm sure there are tons of owners out there that don't know about
these groups. It would be great to reach them somehow.
-Steve
steve,
when you get, let us know how it works out. are you gonna put it on
your blade or one of your other buggies? we need to find a good pipe
for these also. stu told me he was thinking about having pipes made
special for the blades. hope so.

Hopefully I can put my curiosity to rest soon about this upgrade
path...
The unit I bought was the same one for the crf50, crf80, crf150,
crf200, etc.
It came to about $58 delivered or so.
There was a post on the Hammerhead upgrade yahoo group about a CDI
unit for small honda engines that supposidly increased performance
beyond that of a Carter XTV. If this is the case, I have to find
more out about this CDI. It would be low cost upgrade... and
probalby worth taking a chance on I suppose. My XTV makes my Xterro
look pretty slow at this point

No problem dude. The more sites we have like this the better off we
all are.
And thanks for coming... glad you have you here!
-Steve
Oh... okay... I was thinking I had the address wrong or something.
I was looking and looking there and just couldn't find it. That
explains it.
Yeah, a dedicated site will probably be needed to draw attention.
As far as aftermarket parts... I'm still waiting to have a better
idea of how the blades are coming in out of the crate. Hopefully
tonight we'll have some good close of different views of the
exhaust.
On my KPX Xterro I have the exhaust and intake provided by
ToyJunkies. Not sure if it's the best or not... Kells parts he got
in for his Twister Hammerhead look really nice. Especially his
exhaust which is probably quieter.
I hope to get some video and sound samples of the the carts so people
get get some idea of the sound produced with different aftermarket
parts. If Kell has a video camera we should see if we can get some
engine running samples from his unit.
