Sounds like the flex plate is a duel bolt pattern to be used with different converters. You only need three bolts to do the job since that's all every GM car...

No such color as Cortez Gold, even in '72. There is Placer Gold (code 53) and Mohave Gold (code 63). Can't say who'd sell the color but I'd imagine any good...
