Dear friends and family,

Tomorrow, Thanksgiving Day, most of us will gathering with our friends
and families to give thanks for the blessings we have received.

During these trying times, finding myself unemployed for the first time
not of my own choosing in 41 years, I find comfort in our Thanksgiving
tradition. Since 1621, when the Pilgrims at Plymouth and their Native
American neighbors shared their first Thanksgiving feast, friends and
family have gathered to give thanks. As my friend and fellow Blue Ridge
Pathfinder Duane Tucker reminded me earlier this week by sharing George
Washington's 1789 Proclamation, Thanksgiving is the very first national
holiday.........a day of public thanksgiving and prayer. See:
http://wilstar.com/holidays/wash_thanks.html

During the Civil War President Abraham Lincoln revived the Thanksgiving
tradition. He asked God to “heal the wounds of the nation and to restore
it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to full
enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and Union.” Even through one
of the darkest years in American history, President Lincoln saw that
difficult times made it even more appropriate for our blessings to be
acknowledged.

Today, at a time when so many are struggling just to make ends meet,
Thanksgiving is an important time for us all to remember and give thanks
for our many blessings, freedoms and liberties, which, as Americans, are
still more abundant than most places in the world.

I hope all of you are able to come together and enjoy this time with
family and friends, and remember all that we have to be grateful for.
May God bless you and your families this Thanksgiving.

Your friend,

Al

I recommend that you use the free software OpenOffice.org It's not MicroSoft
therefore you can feel free to continue your boycott.

Thank you for pointing this out. I have deleted the original file, and up-loaded
a new .pdf file for your viewing pleasure.

I apologize to you all that I am not very saavy at these things, but with your
help, patience and a two-by-four, I'll probably learn.

Humbly,

Steve

There are two screws tucked in under the rear of the seat, you have to pull the
padding back to get to them.
They are fairly long so you need to screw them all the way out. A rounded head
allen wrench helps.
It was the worst thing about the bike, I just left them out in the end and the
seat never fell off.

I was the only Charlotte Rat at this even last year, you guys missed a great
event.

This year is gonna be just as fun, maybe even better, and I'll be there again
eating Bangers and Mash and sucking down Yuenglings.

The food is good and there are games for the kids, all the beer you can drink,
and a massive Bon Fire and Guy burning, with more fireworks than anyone can
stand blowing off over head.

Dave, and The Charlotte Brit club put a lot of effort into this event.

Here are my pics from 2007 at McHales in Fort Mill...
