Thanks for the input, I'll just have to keep looking.

Britt, Every tank mount that I have seen are 6mm thread on both ends. Can-Am Larry
Clarke will have their stock replacment MX tank out around Chirstmas time. You can get it in black, white, or customers choice. I do have one question on the tank mounts, are they all 1/4-20 or are some of them 6mm? Sorry to hijack this thread a little.

Does anybody know if a pipe from a 1979, 250cc Qualifier would fit on a 1979,
175cc Qualifier? I'm trying to piece together the 175 and so far the only pipe I

Hi All, I finally got the 80/81 MX6 and sonic 500/qualifier 4 manuals from a very kind guy who just wanted to help me out so thanks for that, i really apprieciate it.

Yes i can see the files but what i want is hard copy/high quality reproduction of the manual
im looking for 80 & 81 MX6 and qualifiers plus 82 qualifiers and Sonic 500 and it would be really nice to get some manuals for the pre 85 single shocks but im told there was no manual for those?
its the workshop manuals i want, not parts books.
im also open to borrowing these manuals from you and i will scan the parts i want to my satisfaction and then return the manuals asap registered and insured. I send stuff to USA and recieve stuff from USA on a weekly basis.

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone on here can help me out. I am trying to get some Can Am manuals from Al Roberts Can-Am. The manuals I want to buy from him are the 80/81 MX6/qualifier manuals and the 82 qualifier and Sonic 500 manual. Now it was months and months and months ago when I first contacted Al and eventually he told me he had the manuals i wanted and he gave me a price. Then it took ages to get shipping details etc from him. Eventually I kinda figured he didn't want to ship these to Australia so I said how about just give me a price for shipping the manuals to a USA address. I think I got that price from him but that's as far as I got. I've tried asking him how to pay etc, but I get nothing. Is he always this slow? It's just taking way too long for me and every things come to a halt. I cant even get an email response from him anymore. Perhaps his email has changed? Is he still around??? I was wondering if someone in USA who has had success buying stuff from him could try and get these manuals for me? You don't have to ship them to me, I can give you a USA address to `save the hassle' If you think you can help me please contact codrington307@hotmail.com Its just got to the point where I cant wait any longer to get these manuals ive been trying to get for almost 2 years.

Not being a vet, much less having combat experience, I can only imagine what it's like and the sacrifices that have been made, so to me it feels a bit hollow, but I wanted to say thank you to all of you who have served and especially to those families who have lost loved ones in service of our country.
Sorry to hear of your plight. I will broadcast the post to everyone I know. Thanks, Rocky J. Pipkin

Sorry to hear about your plight. Sure wish I could afford it right now.
This past Saturday I lost my job of the past eleven years as Office/Community Relations Manager for Barnes Suzuki, Inc., doing business as Suzuki Kawasaki of Gastonia. Due to ever increasing losses brought on by the catastrophically adverse effects of the current economic recession and extremely tight credit markets, the Barnes Family decided to retire from the motorcycle business (after thirty years in business) and sell their Suzuki, Kawasaki, and E-Ton franchises to McKenney Salinas Honda Powersports, a year old motorcycle/ATV/ personal watercraft dealership owned by a prominent automotive dealership group.
Although I am currently in employment negotiations with McKenney Salinas Powersports, and considering other options, I will be living on what little I can draw in Unemployment Compensation until sometime after the first of the year.
With an already stressed household budget and Christmas coming for my eight year old son, Elijah, who suffers from an Autism Spectrum Disorder, I must sell my very nice, very original, 1980 Can-Am 350 Qualifier III.
The bike is in excellent unrestored, unmolested condition. 99% original.
It has a little over 800 easy original miles.
The rotary valve Rotax engine is actually 276.7cc.
Considered by many Can-Am aficionados to be their best enduro bike ever. An excellent trail bike, even by modern standards.
Starts easily and runs great!
Modern Maxxis tires with 85% treadlife.
Includes original rear shocks and new Hagon gas shocks.
Includes original fuel tank and two (2) O.E.M. 3-gallon fuel tanks. All in great condition, and come with uninstalled RTR Moto reproduction Can-Am graphics.
Includes with nylon rear fender tool bag.
Refinished O.E.M. V-Brace handlebars are fitted with a Kawasaki KX85 split-perch clutch lever assembly and a Kawasaki KLX110 split-perch front brake lever assembly, which offer much better leverage ratios and smoother operation than the original Magura Powerlever
assemblies, which are also included.
Include RTR Moto reproduction from fender, which is undrilled and uninstalled. The original Preston Petty Tony D front fender is still in great shape, but does have the typical scratches found on a bike of this age and mileage.
Includes manual, service records, and magazine articles.
$1,999.00 FIRM
Buyer is responsible for all cost and arrangements relating to he pickup and/or transport of this vehicle. I will not crate this motorcycle for shipment.
Weather permitting, I will have a large quantity of high quality photos available to e-mail by Saturday evening.
Just let me know if you are interested. As with all of my stuff, this bike will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
Happy trails,

I had clutch problems with one of the bikes I built because I was also
told not to follow the manual. I finally did adjust everything as the
manual states and haven't had a problem since. I don't understand how
they did it either but it works just as designed.
