The 12 series gas charged will work fine. I recommend the longer 13.5" shocks no matter what type of shock, my Works Performance are 13.5. The 12 series shocks...

They are not the best but can be used for racing as I have them on several of my bikes. I even had them on my 1972 Hercules K100GS as other shocks were too...
