Mentioned before in the archives, in 1984 the Honda CM250C Rebel had belt drive
behind the 5-speed gearbox. Possibly, parts could be retro-fitted to the CB250.
http://www.motorera.com/honda/h0250/rebel/rebel.htm

The current transmission technology for belt drive is the CVT which uses a
centrifugal clutch with expanding pulleys at the crank and rear wheel connected
by toothed belt. The CVT is common to scooters, but has also been applied to
large displacement motorcycles and automotive applications. The new 680cc
DN-01, 580cc Silver Wing and smaller Honda scooters run CVT. It has even been
miniaturized for RC cars.
