It could be a marginal battery or your charging system. Put a volt meter on the battery with the engine running at 2000 RPM. Voltage should be 13.8 volts...

You can get the rear end of the bike off of the ground by putting a small floor jack underneath the rear shock mount and jacking the bike up an inch or so....
