thanks for trying to help. it looks like it was a stuck BAS.

fyi I wasn't getting any spark at all. it started and ran fine and then i accidentally tipped it over and then it wouldn't start back up.

What exactly does your bike not do? When was the last time the bike started and ran O.K. ?
