the M2 and the X1 have basically the same engine, but there are differences in the intake and the cams. the X1 is fuel-injected and has cams set for high-end...

There is a Supertrapp for your bike. It certainly won't hurt to make your bike louder but as for avioding that kind of wreck, try air horns. Or the brakes....
