George:
I want to access maps and tunes so I can change them. I would also like to be able to change the software functionality to use a hot wire anemometer MAF instead of the old VAF (flapper door that measures volumetric air flow and then uses air density to convert to mass air flow). Not planning to rewrite the whole control.
Currently I have the binary files from my stock chip and an Autothority chip. I have disassembled one of them but I don't know assembly language to read it. I have also done some comparing between the files I have. I have found some info on websites that have details of some maps for similar cars and comments from others who have hacked and tunes their Motronic controls. I have a 944S which has a different control than the more common 944 (base) and 944 turbo. I can't find as much detail on mine. There is even more info for the 911. These all use Motronic but slightly different versions. Atlantis makes a Motronic Editor that is handy to look at maps and tunes but it has not been able to find them in my code because it does not haven their locations identified.
I am hoping you can maybe look at the assembly code I have and make some sense of it.

goal is and what the current status is?
Is the goal to use the existing software and modify map data to adjust
spark and fuel, or is the goal to develop completely new software to
run on the ECU?
And how far along is the group on the goal?
I see schematics in the file section so, developing custom software
all of a sudden became much easier, but figuring out where the maps
are located and how to tweak them is still probably overall less work.
