The SouthtownStar will be out on Monday and Tuesday of next week to write an article about the collection and our biodiesel program, so keep an eye out for that too!
Funny, I remember when you were on the radio - Biodiesel Dude - I think that's what they called you. If Ian doesn't turn up for you, let me know, I am always looking to add onto my rickety setup. Sorry to hear that you are actually out of it now. I bet that Lexus isn't all the VW was. Anyway good luck, if I get down that way, I'll try to contact you.

Great. I will take it. I will check with the wife and see when we can get down there. will the weekends work good for you.
Ugh. I forgot to attach pictures too. I'm really not on the ball. The processor is 5 years old. I started with all brand new equipment including the water heater. The storage tanks cost me $725 I believe. I'm attaching pictures now. I was a bit of a celebrity when I first started processing. I was in the local news paper and also on the radio.

Subject: [Bio-fuel_Wisconsin ] Biodiesel Processor and Tanks - FREE!
I was intending on selling my biodiesel processor and tanks this summer, but I never got around to it. Now I just want it out of my garage before winter. You can have it for free. The processor is based on a 48 gallon electric water heater. The storage tanks are 65 gallons each and cost me more than the biodiesel processor. One of the tanks was converted to act as a bubble washer. The processor functioned just fine when used last fall. The plumbing near the pump really needs to be retaped as it was beginning to leak at the joints.
So, come and get it, it's yours. Or tell your friends.
I also have 45 to 50 gallons of methanol and a big (35 lb?) box of unused potassium hydroxide. Make an offer and it's yours.

I have totes as well, but if you have your own, that's great. I have 4x 275 gal totes full to the top ~ 300gal in each. This is unfiltered oil at this time. I was going to start filtering it and selling it a useable fuel for wvo vehicles. I'll add up what cost I have into it roughly by the gallon.

Also what quantities. We have 275 gallon totes we can transfer to.
Are you looking for filtered or unfiltered? Any places around here that I have seen wvo for sale is between 0.50 to 1.00 / gal including what is being paid for it from the source.
I am going to start selling wvo in the Appleton area. I have bulk containers as well as drums. I may also consider the few hundred gallons of wmo I have.

"Biodiesel in the Classroom" is a 2-day seminar on how to safely make biodiesel and how to teach it to 7th-12th graders (also scalable to college/university level). We include the lectures and all of the labs that you will need to test incoming oil, make your catalyst, make biodiesel, test your final products, and uses for biodiesel and glycerin soap. For educators, we also include all of our grant resources. The curriculum also includes quizzes and a unit exam, all written by the Advanced Chemistry Honors course this most recent school year.
If you are interested in participating, please reply as soon as possible and we will email you a registration form in return. If you know anyone that may be interested, please feel free to forward this to them.
This is not just for educators, but for any aspiring biodiesel-er. Unfortunately, this is our only scheduled date for this summer. If interest continues, we will have another seminar in September or October 2009. For educators, we can offer CPDU's, but are unable to offer college credit at this time.
Once again, BP’s A+ for Energy Program has awarded me a $10,000 grant! This year’s project is to work with the diesel equipment in the district and make it ready for biodiesel. We will also upgrade our reactor and purchase some analytical equipment to move toward certification of our fuel.
This is my third year in a row with A+ and a total of $40,000 awarded!
I have 28 cases (6 1-gallon bottles per box) of empty HDPE (recycle code 2) bottles that we use for oil collection and are about to move toward larger carboys and drums. Would anyone like any/all of them? They only ever contained virgin soy bean oil and may have a few drops left in each.
Bio Blend Fuels Inc. began operating its 2.6 MMgy biodiesel plant at a new
location in Manitowoc, Wis., using animal fats as its feedstock. The plant was
designed by Dan Kaderabek, company founder along with his wife Traci Kaderabek.
The couple had been producing biodiesel on a smaller scale since 2005, improving
their process and learning how to meet ASTM specifications, Dan Kaderabek said.
Bio Blend Fuels recently moved to a new location in Manitowoc and began
operating May 1. The pair have started another company, American Fuel Blending
Systems to market a freestanding biodiesel station incorporating heated tanks
and a blender pump to facilitate blending of the animal fat-based biodiesel at
optimal temperatures.

I've been making biodiesel since 2004. I was in the newspaper and on WJJO radio in fact because of it. I never thought I would quit running my car on biodiesel. However, do to my divorce last week, my ex-wife is now driving my TDI. That means I am left with her @#$% Lexus and my biodiesel processor. It's based on a 50 gallon electric water heater. It also comes with two 65 gallon storage tanks. One of the tanks was converted into a bubble washer. I want to sell the biodiesel processor, storage tanks, 25 lbs of Potassium Hydroxide, and 45 gallons of methanol. I was thinking $800. If you know someone who is interested, I can send pictures. I just want the thing out of my garage so I have room for the motorcycle I bought last week. :)

We're currently registering our farm for the small-scale biodiesel producer
program. It's NOT a state run program (and the state will not have access to
records), though it is funded by a gov't grant. I will post as I learn more.
Also notable: both NWTC and MSTC have purchased BioPros for their Biodiesel
programs, and both programs intend to use them for limited fuel production.
These programs continue to grow, though enrollment has been low. If you're
interested in learning more about biodiesel or other alternative fuels / energy,
they offer flexible class times - check them out!
I recently ran into a guy that is using a venturi setup with no water wash that was working very good for him. He was recovering the methanol, obviously at a lower purity than new, but could reuse it with the addition of virgin material. I plan to buy his setup next month.
I too am designing a processor for sale. May not be on the scale you are working with.

Hello.
I did add a centrifuge to our web site if you want to get more info. Its gravity feed but IM sure you could use a pump on it to. when you do need one let me know. I may be able to get you a discount. IM also trying to figure out a good methanol recovery unit to add to the processor. We finally ran our first batch and it seams to be good stuff. I would like to recover the meth though. Have any ideas on that. We have received several requests for our unit but they all seem disappointed that it doesn't have a recovery system on it. Thanks Have a good weekend.
If you look into it, let me know what you come up with. I am not at the point currently to step into a centrifuge setup, but want to see what is available. I know of a couple of places here in the valley that deal with used restaurant equipment, but have not stopped in yet.
