"Biodiesel in the Classroom" is a 2-day seminar on how to safely make biodiesel and how to teach it to 7th-12th graders (also scalable to college/university level). We include the lectures and all of the labs that you will need to test incoming oil, make your catalyst, make biodiesel, test your final products, and uses for biodiesel and glycerin soap. For educators, we also include all of our grant resources. The curriculum also includes quizzes and a unit exam, all written by the Advanced Chemistry Honors course this most recent school year.
If you are interested in participating, please reply as soon as possible and we will email you a registration form in return. If you know anyone that may be interested, please feel free to forward this to them.
This is not just for educators, but for any aspiring biodiesel-er. Unfortunately, this is our only scheduled date for this summer. If interest continues, we will have another seminar in September or October 2009. For educators, we can offer CPDU's, but are unable to offer college credit at this time.
