Bio Blend Fuels Inc. began operating its 2.6 MMgy biodiesel plant at a new
location in Manitowoc, Wis., using animal fats as its feedstock. The plant was
designed by Dan Kaderabek, company founder along with his wife Traci Kaderabek.
The couple had been producing biodiesel on a smaller scale since 2005, improving
their process and learning how to meet ASTM specifications, Dan Kaderabek said.
Bio Blend Fuels recently moved to a new location in Manitowoc and began
operating May 1. The pair have started another company, American Fuel Blending
Systems to market a freestanding biodiesel station incorporating heated tanks
and a blender pump to facilitate blending of the animal fat-based biodiesel at
optimal temperatures.
