Re: [BantamTrailer] Axle and hub

I did that on my trailer.  Just bought a replacement hub (and bearings) from
etrailer.com   They'll tell you how to order the corr3ect one.  If I remember,
the hubs only cost around $12 each.  I kept the original hubs and wheels in case
I ever want to restore the trailer to original condition.

I would like to change the hubs on my Bantam to match the wheels on my Wrangler.
Existing axle may or may not be original, it has 5 on 51/2 bolt pattern on a 2
or 2 1/4 spindle no brakes and is currently configure in spring over. Has
anybody done this short of replacing the entire axle?

An adapter plate won't work cause you're going from a large boltcircle to a smaller one. The center of the hub wont fit in the center of the wheel. ... ...
