Ahhh I should have mentioned that I am talking about the 1/4 ton Jeep
SPEN trailer, not the larger 3/4 ton with landing wheel trailer.
Thanks,
Brian

Subject: [BantamTrailer] Spen question
I have a 1940 "Spen Hur" that we just finished restoring. I don't have
extra
Spen parts, because mine came as a mix of Ben Hur and Spen parts. I do
have an
extra Ben Hur Axle, NOS, that I want to get rid of. It is located in
SW MO near
Branson. I will attach a picture of the completed Spen.Â
Â
When it came to me, it had been rolled, was missing the tongue, etc.Â
It came
with a the tongue parts, the lunette ring, the landing wheel (but no
leg), and
the receiver part for the landing wheel. It was restored by a member
of my
reenacting group's shop class in Reeds Springs over the course of a
year. The
labor was free and he took every care to do it right, because A. he
wanted to
teach them the right way to do things B. the labor was free. I just
need canvas
and it's complete. This winter they are doing my WC-51 bed and I will
have a
matched set.
