The Indian auto-industry is growing in leaps and bounds. The face of Indian automobile industry changed when Suzuki stepped into India in a joint venture with Maruti. This was our first experience with the Japanese auto industry. Another decade down the line, the market opened up, only to realise that the face of the world automobile market had changed. With the Korean manufacturers growing exponentially, India has today become a fast-paced emergent market.
The likes of maruti, suzuki, tata, daewoo, opel, general motors, fiat, hyundai, ford, chevrolet, honda, mistubishi, skoda, toyota, mercedes, bmw, and audi rule indian roads today. even hindustan motors is revamping its product line and production technology.
porsche, volkwagen, bentley, ferrari, maseratti, rolls royce and maybach are also present in niche segments.
indian roads are still young. its still a long drive to maturity.
