Hey Iron Riders and guests,
Don't forget our monthly meeting at 7pm on the 2nd Thursday of each month. It's
held in Ardmore at the Budweiser distribution plant meeting room. Refreshments
will be served.
Have any ideas for the group, comments, attaboys or beefs, show up and put in a
word or three.
We encourage all members to take an active role in the groups activities.
See ya there,

I am so sorry but it seems that the link that would give all of you
more information about what, where , and when did not come through
as it should have so I will post it here for all of my good friends
in the club.

That is the message thread letting you all know who all is coming
and the entire mission as it is planned so far. There will probably
be more posts from fellow bikers in the guard as the day progresses
so you might want to check back again this evening. Ya'll can also
give me a shout at (580) 276-0931. That is my cell # and I will be
in the city all day probably but you can try it there and at the
very least give me a voice mail. Harleyman also has my home number
and I am sure he will give it to anyone that is interested just for
asking.
Thanks to all of you.

To anyone that might be interested I am posting this information
from the PGR (Patriot Guard Riders) website concerning the Memorial
wall coming to Oklahoma. I encourage everyone to also join this
great group of riders (Membership is absolutely FREE) but our
freedom is not. I will enclose a link to them at the end of this
notice.
This is very basic but will give an idea of what is happening. There
will more info coming from the Rolling thunder soon also. The
Rolling thunder and Patriot Guard will do an escort of the moving
wall as it comes into Ok, the 18th of Oct. This will be from the Ark
state line to Poteau Ok. The 19th is the day the wall will be set
up, there may be a need for some assistance in doing this. The 20th
is the opening cerimony and there will be partispation in this. Part
of which is the Rolling Thunder's Wreath presentation. There may be
Patriot Guard Flag presentation as well. The Wall will be open to
the public 24 hours a day. Well on display, untill the 23rd, there
will be a constant presence of vets at the wall 24 hours a day. I am
sure the Chamber will appreciate any voluteers from those who can
donate their time.
I again urge everyone to join this great group of riders as they do
so much for all of us veterans. Here is the website for anyone that
is interested.

Hello
My name is Matt Morgan, I'm a brand new member to the Club and this
Group. I went the 06 Memorial Rally, this was my first rally and I had
a wonderful time. I met lots of good people that like me just want to
have a good time and make new friends. I want to Thank all the Members
that worked so hard to put on this rally and make it what it was. A
Good Rally where every-one was safe and looked after. There was plenty
of Shade, Food, Entertainment and Cold Beverage.
Thankyou Members

Are you talking about joining the Iron Riders? On the main website is an
application that you have to print out, then send it with your club fee to the
address on the application. You can also contact various club officers at their
e-mail addresses which are posted. If all else fails, go to Virgie's bar and ask
one of the bartenders. They should know.

I'd like to thank all the AIR members and other riders that were able
to come out to Longhorn Scooters for the benefit poker run and feed
on Saturday.
The weather cooperated and we had, at last count, 95 entries for the
poker run down thru Wilson, OK, across a scenic piece of N Texas and
back up thru Gainesville and Ardmore. Even the traffic where the
freeway construction is going on wasn't as bad as anticipated.
Thanks also to the folks who allowed us to set up our stops at their
establishments: Dog House Scooter Works in Gainesville, The Lodge
Grocery near Lake Murray Lodge, Hard to Find Liquors in Ardmore and
Longhorn Scooters in Lone Grove who opened early and stayed late to
help us out.
A very special thanks to the hi & low hand winners who turned right
around and put their shares back into the benefit to help out with a
member's medical expenses.
Thanks guys and gals. This is what the American Iron Riders is all
about.
