Saturn was always with GM. They were never seperate. GM needed a vehical
line that was cheap to the customers but could compete with imports. They
went with Toyota to the drawing board since Toyota was doing good in that
market. Plus a few GM and Toyota vehicals were being made at the same plant
at the time. So in the early 80's Saturn name plate was made. Saturn is
know today as a People Friendly line who is comitted to customer
satification.
