This is unusual since Scottsdale Pitre Subaru has been the hot spot to take
your modified car. I can't believe they would give you shit about it,
especially when they service cars the likes of Lloyds Stage 3 Turbo, My highly
modified RS, and some of the other members modified cars. Bob has even been
nice enough to let me *test* drive new MY RSs as they come on the lot, and has
been a driving force in the valley as a proponent of the new WRX.
However, if what you say is true, then try Camelback Subaru.
Anybody else have some suggestions for a good Subaru Service center???
I will talk to Bob about what happened and see what the deal is...

I was wondering where everyone gets their impreza's serviced. I Just
had a very bad experience at Pitre Subaru, I have very little
modifications and got nothing but crap about my car and the service
manager Bob Wedell was very much of an *@$hole when I expressed some
concerns. If all service centers are this bad I am considering
getting rid of the car. I have had many highly modified acura's and
honda's along with some chevrolet's and have never had any problems
with service or warranties like I did today. I hope some one has
better news, and better experiences than me please let me know if
there is a better service place than Pitre.

Hi,
This is Kim (Imprezer's girl) from the I club. I was hoping that you
could help me out. Alex (Imprezer) is having his birthday on March5.
I was hoping to create a huge collage of pictures of I club members and
their cars to frame and give to Alex as a present.
I would need you to send me either a pic of your car or you or together
to me. Also so sign a nice greating to him on the front of the picture.
I really appreciate any help that I could get. Feel free to pass this
along to other members, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't let Alex know. I
want this to be the best present that he has ever gotten. I know that it
will!
I need at least 2 weeks to frame and organize the pictures so
please send it to me as soon as you can. I am using my sisters address to
keep this a total surprise. So please email me for the address and with any
questions or suggestions.
Thank you again and I know that this will mean so much to Alex with
so many people involved.
Thanks again,
Kim

Subject: [AZSubaru] Stealth Sub Install
After hearing Dan's subs in the side panels, I decided to take up my project
to accomplish the same thing again. I originally wanted to build fiberglass
enclosures inside the rear panels, but I found out my fiberglass skills are
poor to non-existent. So I gave up on the project a few months ago. After
reading Dan's page and hearing how it sounded I decided to give it a try.
I had previously put quite a bit of sound deadening in the panels, so I just
added a lot more, and did Dan's spray foam trick. I also made the baffle take
up the entire opening, instead of just a portion like Dan's instructions. I
made the baffle from 1/2" MDF and kept sanding it until it fit snuggly. I
then siliconed the edges and further secured it with some metal strips that I
attached to the box and the baffle. Then I just put the speakers in, 2 JL
Audio 8W6's that have been sitting in my garage for a while now. I turned it
on and I was in shock...I had to check and see if my 2 10" woofers were
disconnected, because I had far more bass than I was expecting. :)
I am thoroughly pleased with how it turned out and I wanted to say thanks to
Dan for writing the instructions and inspiring me to try again with this
project. I still need to modify the trim panels for grill openings, and
remove about 100 lbs. of subs and enclosure from the trunk :)
It is actually a pretty simple project, that can be accomplished in about a
day. Not counting speakers I am guessing it would cost under $75 for
everything else needed.
I will have pictures up soon of the finished project.

Hey Dan, I have that info for you. Look at the TPS. Pin #1 is at the top.
There are four wires coming out of the TPS switch. The two center wires are
the wires that you need to be concerned about. Take two paper clips and push
them into the back of the harness connector. Do not disconnect the TPS. Pin
#2 is common and Pin #3 is voltage. Try to find yourself a digital
multimeter, don't use analog. The paper clips should be pushed into #2 and
#3 holes coming out tof the back of the connector. Turn on the multimeter
and set it to DC. Turn on the ignition switch, but do not start the engine.
The values with the throttle fully closed should be between .45 and .51 of a
volt. At WOT, the values should be between 4.2 and 4.7 volts max. Adjust the
TPS to the right or left to obtain the correct values. There, you're done!
Wasn't that easy?
Sorry it took me so long to get this to you. I hope that this info helps.
Take care, ARG
