Region 14 covers Livingston and Washtenaw Counties. ABATE stands for American Bikers Aiming Toward Education. ABATE is more than the freedom of choice issue about helmets, we are about education and safety. If we can teach the new riders to be better and safer riders and new drivers to be more aware of us then the roads will be safer for all of us. We meet the first Saturday of the month at 4 pm at Zukey Lake Tavern in Lakeland, located off M-36 (Directions to the Tavern: US-23 to M-36 (Exit 54B). Take M-36 west, approximately 6 miles,(0.6 miles west of Chilson) to Girard.
