Yeah, it should go to the vacuum port on the bottom of the breather, and the other port goes down to a port that has a temp sensor so it ony actuates the door...

I usually buy a new EGR valve because it looks nice and new, and then never hook it up. The old EGR valve will typically have carbon or whatever gunk built up...
