This web site, on the appropriate database table, includes the official registry for the 1939-47 Mopar trucks. © by dlfenner. It also is a forum for those of us who own and/or admire the 1939-47 Dodge, Plymouth, and Fargo trucks. When posting messages, be sure to include your name and location at end of post. And when posting a reply, please snip or truncate previous messages to avoid lengthy redundant copy. The truck in the photo belongs to member Randy McMillen of Ohio. Here's his story about this beautiful truck. A PT-105 Plymouth. ""The truck originally came from New Mexico. It was found on a used car lot in Denver, CO in the mid-1980’s. It sat in a Store lock-it for 10 years here in Ohio before I got it. It sat for another 7 years while I collected parts for it at swap meets and at the fall AACA meets in Hershey PA. There are several things different on the government special truck. This one has the side mount spare tire. Fuel tank under the back where the spare tire carrier is on the farm truck and the Fuel fill is in the left rear fender. The bed floor sets higher and the oak bed frame is made different. I ordered the bed kit from Bruce Horkey’s Wood Parts in MN. When the stuff came the bolts were all short. They had to make me the special longer bolts for the special order model. Truck has several options, 1. Right hand wiper, 2. Right hand tail light, 3. Ash tray (Rare) and 4. Four speed Transmission. I found and added the rear bumper, rare but not original to the truck. I found installed an Original Nos. 3.91 ring pinion. All new bearings are in the Transmission the differential. The nut bolt restoration was a three year project."" More to follow, Ed
